New vs Best
This quote came from a recent conversation I had with a friend who is a lot older than me.
The quote, taken from his context, but I’d like to apply it to a business context from my point of view:
"People will embrace the new as long as it’s better than the old; otherwise, they’ll spend time missing the old."
It’s a great concept to follow, especially in business, to see how you can truly launch a new product to serve your customer
One of our strengths as entrepreneurs is that we tend to innovate, chase opportunities, and bring new things to the market.
However, this can be a double-edged sword. If the new product we introduce is significantly better, customers will only care about the one that serves them best.
The goal isn’t just to offer something new; it’s to offer the best. People don’t want a new offer—they want the best offer for them. They don’t want a new product—they want the product that serves them best.
So, it’s reasonable to ask yourself:
Is this the best product, service, or offer I’m creating right now?
